back from florida!
i was down in florida from the dec 28th till jan 1st. franny, bridget and i drove all the way there to celebrate new year's with my mom who is residing there already. it was a total of 1036miles each way!!! it took us a total of 22 hours just to get there. it took us that long since we had to stop from time to time to let me take a nap! (i was the only driving since they didnt have valid licenses)
it was a long drive going through various states (we only got to take a pic of the welcome to georgia sign). there we went to silver springs and universal studios orlando. that's where we were when on new year's eve. unfortunately, we couldn't stay much longer so after attending 11am Mass on the 1st. going back it took us 23 hours. if there is one thing i noticed, people in Georgia are bad drivers!!! it was only when we were driving through the state that we encountered any slowdown in our drive. there would be instances where we would be bumper to bumper with another car, and you would then expect to see an accident or something. but there would be nothing at all, just a simple lane shift.
below are some pics i took while we were there! it was a long tiring drove but well worth the trip. hopefully in march (during easter break) we'll be able to visit again! though next time, we'll just fly down =)
some tunnel in baltimore, i think
welcome to georgia, the peach state!
doing some shopping
with mom's cooking! =)
happy new year! =)
i have more pics posted on my flickr account if you want to see more pics from the trip
